What is Orthopaedic Training?

This training is available for those ranked Senior Doctor+, this is where you will start to take on a lot of repsonsiblity within the Health Service assisting Physicians and Surgeons and also supervising the lower ranks ensuring that they are carrying out their job correctly and the diagnoses they are making are correct. Within this rank you will be shown how to treat those with serious injuries such as broken bones, spinal injuries and even paralysis.

Your academy mentor will carefully show you how to apply a cast to all areas of the body, how to correctly place someone into a wheelchair without causing more external harm to the individual and also how to apply a neck brace for spinal injuries. Your mentor will also show you how to remove all of these once treatment has been completed in a patient so you are confident doing this on your own. Moreover, your RP skills will also be further improved here so it can meet your new more demanding job role within the Helath Service.
